A bit about me

Turning 40 Is Scary!

I am a Mum of two beautiful boys living in Birmingham, my adopted city.

Since I was a child I've cared about the environment and protecting the environment. I've also worried about homeless people apparently once asking rather loudly in the House of Lords why they couldn't melt the gold ceiling and sell it to buy houses for the homeless. I've worked for both these fantastic charities.

As I'm turning 40 this year I am celebrating by doing some of the things I never thought I would do including a sky dive. I'm going to raise some money for two charities I care about at the same time.

I aim to raise £1,977 (the year I was born) by taking part in and organising lots of events to raise money for these charities.

Please get involved by coming to events, donating your time to help me, donating a skill in my skills auction (more soon) and donating prizes for my raffles.

Please find out more about the charities I am supporting.

I work for The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham & the Black Country because it's doing a great job of protecting the environment and getting people out into nature.

My first 'proper' job was with St Basils as a corporate fundraiser. I don't think I was very good as a fundraiser then, I'm hoping I can make up for that now because they do wonderful work with young people to keep them safe and help them get control of their lives.

It's going to be quite a year. Please get involved and make sure you donate if you can.

Thank you for your support and generously on my fundraising page here.
